At Brampton Bazaar, we take pride in the quality and uniqueness of every product we carry. Because we specialize in curated, seasonal, and limited-availability merchandise, our return and exchange policy is designed to balance customer satisfaction with the operational realities of managing a boutique retail inventory. We ask that all customers read this policy carefully before making a purchase, as completing a transaction constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Brampton Bazaar offers a five (5) calendar day return eligibility window, commencing from the date of purchase for in-store transactions or the date of verified delivery for online orders. This window is strictly enforced. Requests for returns, exchanges, or refunds submitted after this five-day period will not be considered under any circumstances, and all sales beyond this window are deemed final.
The rationale behind this policy is rooted in the nature of our inventory. A significant portion of our catalog consists of seasonal goods, festival merchandise, and limited-edition items that have a defined period of relevance and demand. Accepting returns beyond five days would compromise our ability to resell these items in a timely manner, which would ultimately result in higher prices for all customers. We believe this policy, while strict, is fair and transparent.
To initiate a return or exchange within the eligible window, customers must contact our support team via email at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +1 (437) 424-1700 before bringing or shipping the item back. Unauthorized returns — those sent without prior approval — will not be accepted and may be returned to the sender at their own expense.
To be considered eligible for a return or exchange, an item must meet all of the following conditions without exception. Items that do not satisfy every criterion listed below will be rejected at the time of inspection, and the customer will be responsible for arranging the return of the rejected item at their own cost.
Our team reserves the right to conduct a thorough inspection of all returned items before approving an exchange. This inspection may take up to two (2) business days. Items that pass inspection will be processed for exchange; items that fail inspection will be returned to the customer.
Certain categories of products are explicitly excluded from our return and exchange policy, regardless of the condition in which they are returned or the reason for the return request. By purchasing any of the following item types, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the sale is final and irrevocable.
All products categorized as festival or seasonal lighting — including but not limited to Diwali lights, Christmas fairy lights, Ramadan lanterns, Vaisakhi decorations, Holi accessories, and any other event-specific decorative items — are classified as strictly non-returnable once the associated festival or seasonal event has commenced. This restriction applies from the first day of the festival period, irrespective of whether the customer has used the product.
In cases where a festival spans multiple days or dates, the non-returnable restriction takes effect from the earliest date of the festival period. This policy exists because the market demand for such items drops precipitously once the event has passed, making it commercially impractical for us to accept returns of seasonal merchandise after the event window.
Any item sold under a "Clearance," "Final Sale," "As-Is," or similar promotional designation is sold at a reduced price specifically because it is being liquidated from our inventory. Such items are sold without any return or exchange rights. The discounted price reflects the final-sale nature of the transaction, and customers are advised to inspect all clearance items carefully before purchasing.
Products that are perishable, consumable, or that come into direct contact with the body — including food items, personal care products, cosmetics, and similar goods — cannot be returned or exchanged for health and safety reasons, regardless of whether they have been opened.
Brampton Bazaar operates an exchange-only policy for all qualifying returns. This means that approved returns will result in a store credit or a direct exchange for another product of equal or greater value — not a cash refund or a reversal of the original payment method. This policy applies universally, including in cases where an exception is granted by management.
If the replacement item selected by the customer is of greater value than the original purchase, the customer will be required to pay the difference at the time of exchange. If the replacement item is of lesser value, the remaining balance will be issued as a store credit, redeemable on a future purchase within twelve (12) months of issuance.
The exchange-only model allows us to maintain competitive pricing across our entire catalog. By eliminating the overhead associated with processing cash refunds and managing reverse logistics, we are able to pass those savings directly to our customers in the form of lower everyday prices.
To initiate an exchange, please contact our returns department within the five-day eligibility window. Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for returning the item. Exchanges will not be processed without a valid RMA number.
In the event that you receive an item that is defective, damaged in transit, or materially different from what was described at the time of purchase, please contact our support team within 24 hours of delivery. We take product quality seriously and will work diligently to resolve any such issues to your satisfaction.
To process a defective item claim, you will be required to provide photographic or video evidence of the defect or damage, along with your order number and a description of the issue. Our team will review the evidence and, if the claim is validated, will arrange for a replacement item or an exchange at no additional cost to you.
Please note that cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the functionality of the product — such as minor scratches on packaging or slight colour variations — do not qualify as defects. Similarly, damage resulting from improper use, mishandling, or failure to follow care instructions is not covered under our defective item policy.
Where applicable, certain products sold by Brampton Bazaar may carry a manufacturer's warranty. The terms and duration of any such warranty are determined solely by the manufacturer and are separate from Brampton Bazaar's return and exchange policy. Brampton Bazaar does not independently warrant any product beyond what is expressly stated in this policy.
Warranty coverage, where it exists, is limited to functional manufacturing defects that arise under normal and intended use conditions. Warranty claims must be submitted directly to the manufacturer unless Brampton Bazaar has explicitly agreed in writing to act as an intermediary.
Warranty coverage is immediately and permanently voided if the product shows evidence of physical damage, water or liquid ingress, unauthorized disassembly or repair, use outside of the manufacturer's specified operating conditions, or any modification not sanctioned by the manufacturer.
